The Blog That Wouldn’t Die
And that’s ”Doctor Fronkensteen” to you.
What’s the secret to a blog that continues to inspire new subscribers to sign up, yet hasn’t had a new post since May 2006?
Good question and the elusive answer has a number of fine people scratching their heads and wondering how the defunct Taming Project Chaos blog I created for Gyronix now garners an average of 5 new subscribers a week. Not only that, the Google ads continue to bring in a few hundred dollars a month.
What’s amazing about both of these numbers is that they’ve been growing over time.
Why do you think that is? Could it have anything to do with the Top Secret optimization I did to the backend of the blog? Naw. Just put that thought out of your head, because it couldn’t be that. Could it?
Here’s my (more serious) take on it. For using such a complex product like ResultsManager, I think Gyronix’s current and prospective customer base are still a bit unsure of what the product can do for them. And I think that’s further compounded by Gyronix taking their sweet time in defining their USP for their market segments.
But the Taming Chaos blog did a pretty good job of demonstrating how one person (your humble copywriter) consistently used it for over 28 days while allowing readers to look over my shoulder as I ran three companies using ResultsManager in conjunction with Mindjet’s MindManager, Microsoft’s OneNote, plus another Gyronix product, GyroQ.
And today . . . I’m still using ResultsManager (supported by the other three) and running a lot more projects and companies. Something that would be impossible to do without my “Core 4.”
Which reminds me . . .
The other day I posted a very nice testimonial from Kyle McFarlin, Gyronix Trainer Extraordinaire and owner of The Underlying Blog. And folks, hands-down — if you want the plain-English, simple-to-understand demonstration of how using ResultsManager and MindManager will skyrocket your productivity, then contact Kyle and schedule your free 20 minute demo of how ResultsManager can save you hundreds of hours, thousands of dollars and make sure you get all the important stuff done.
McFarlin’s got the scaleable communication skills of someone who speaks to everyone from top corporate execs to the small businessperson. Trust me, whatever you level is, McFarlin can show you the no-nonsense, common sense way to use ResultsManager and MindManager to achieve your goals.
In case you missed it (and how did that happen?), here’s the link to McFarlin’s glowing testimonial that still has me blushing and digging my toe in the dirt with an uncharacteristic “Aw Shucks.”
