Tony Bennett’s Masterstroke Promo
This is how it’s done, folks. Did you see Tony Bennett’s commercial for his “Art Of Romance” CD? It’s a lesson in masterful
selling flair by doing what good advertising and marketing does — appeals first to the emotions and then (and only then) to . . . well, anything else.
See, the commercial shows the benefit of buying his CD. The scene opens in an art gallery where all the disparate people are milling about, but not connecting. Someone pops on Bennett’s CD and the room changes — everyone becomes romantic and starts dancing.
Then there’s the call-to-action and boom — they’re out.
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
Will you be able to say the same about the commercials during Sunday’s Super Bowl XLI?
Hmm. Monday will tell, won’t it?
