Frontier Science Experiment Changes The Past*

It’s a mind-blowing experiment and the implications of it can reduce one to sitting in a dark corner and muttering “Oh hell . . .” over and over as each level of realization sinks in.

You can’t change the past, right? We were all taught this and everyone knows it. Or do we? How do we know this?

Maybe it actually is possible and we’ve just bought into an unchallenged belief system, like the elephant tethered as an infant by a thin rope and a stake in the ground, it grows into adulthood never challenging the belief that it can’t break the rope when in fact, it could easily do so.

Maybe, if this recent experiment is any indication, we actually can change the events we remember as “the past.”

Here’s a clip from researcher Lynne McTaggart about the experiment and the link will take you to the full article. Worth the read and if you can’t sleep tonight . . . join the crowd.

“ . . . their influence had reached ‘back in time’ and influenced the machine’s output at the moment that it was first recorded. They had changed the output of the machine in the same way they might have if they had been present at the time it was being recorded. They did not change the past from what it was; they influenced the past when it was unfolding as the present so that it became what it was.”

    “Oh hell . . .” indeed.

    * = About Heisenberg Fridays. Each Friday I’ll post about whatever I want outside of the realms of marketing, sales, advertising or copywriting. More often than not, it will be about one of my favorite studies –  the research into quantum mechanics and how consciousness influences reality.

So for most of the week you’ll be certain of the overall theme of my posts, but each Friday there will be that uncertainty about the topic. Thus my tip of the hat to Werner Heisenberg the creator of quantum mechanics’ Uncertainty Principle.
