***BREAKING NEWS***
Al Gore has declared the “global warming emergency” to be over! I mean, he must consider it to be over since he’s still taking private jets during this “emergency,” right?
In one of the worst marketing mishaps ever, Al Gore and Tipper are caught on tape disembarking from a cross-country flight, using one of the most fuel inefficient private jets in service.
Apparently he couldn’t be bothered to take one of the 112 commercial flights available to him that day (which would be “Step 7- Fly Right” in his global warming handbook).
Somehow he feels completely justified to be chastising us for putting the world in jeopardy by thoughtlessly acting for our own convenience, while curtailing his convenience not at all.
The last commercial flight he took wasn’t even a real flight, it was the one staged for “An Inconvenient Truth.”
The finger-wagging purveyor of the “global warming emergency” apparently feels that it’s enough of an emergency to ask you to make sacrifices for his cause — but not him.
As a consequence, for his convenience (not yours) he somehow felt it was justified to dump over 55,000 lbs. CO2 into the atmosphere. I don’t even want to think how many private citizen SUV emissions over a year that equals.
Nice leading by example there, Al. We’ll all be sure to follow your lead.
Sooo . . . by example, isn’t Al telling us that his self-created “global emergency” is over?
Fox News’s Sean Hannity aired this on Sunday and we all watched as the Gores got off a private, fuel inefficient jet at San Francisco Airport and were then whisked away in a private limo. A non-hybrid, Lincoln Town Car.
As of Wednesday, I have yet to see this video or any coverage of this controversy on CNN, MSNBC and none of the morning or evening news programs of ABC, NBC, and CBS ran it. Wonder why?
If there was ever a case to be made for liberal bias in the mainstream media, this would be Exhibit A.
On a related and hugely surprising note — the liberal media vanguard, the New York Times has woken up to a bad case of Coyote Arm — as evidenced by the Science section’s new article. Be sure and read Findings: ‘Feel Good’ vs. ‘Do Good’ on Climate .
