    Practical Applications Of Quantum Science*

Quantum computing and storing your data via quantum technology is no longer in the realm of science quantumdogfiction and science-philosophy films like What The Bleep and The Secret (the latter can only be included with the omission of “science” from its description).

And though it seems the strangest and (seemingly) counter-intuitive of all the sciences, that’s only because it’s new to the culture. Give it a generation in popular awareness and it’ll fit like an old, comfortable shoe.

The clip below is from an article detailing how quantum mechanics is making computers and your data more secure.

And be sure and note Einstein’s famous last words about quantum mechanics. Here we are in the beginning years of the 21st century and his Special Theory Of Relativity is considered flawed and quantum science appears to be plugging the gaping holes in it.

“None of that means that it isn’t potentially useful. For years, scientists have understood that certain things about quantum mechanics make them good candidates for security tasks. A couple of recent stories suggest that quantum tools may be coming closer to reality.”

Using Quantum Mechanics to Bolster Security

    * = About Heisenberg Fridays. Each Friday I post about whatever I want outside of the realms of marketing, sales, advertising or copywriting. More often than not, it will be about one of my favorite studies –  the research into quantum mechanics and how consciousness influences reality.

So while most of the week you’ll be certain of the overall theme of my posts, each Friday you will experience uncertainty about the topic, which is my tip of the hat to Werner Heisenberg the creator of quantum mechanics’ Uncertainty Principle.
