Has Quantum Mechanics Revealed The Soul?*

Has the “New Physics” finally bridged the gap between science and religion? GraveSoul

Is this the logical outcome when scientists quit trying to deny the role of consciousness in physics and instead ask the question, “What would happen if we thought of mind and awareness as the physics of consciousness?”

In this article, Stuart Hameroff and Roger Penrose deal with that and other questions. Hameroff’s explorations really interest me he’s a anesthesiologist.

Can you imagine watching hundreds of people a month “slip away to dreamland” and wonder, ‘Where did their consciousness go?’

Ah! Fascinating stuff. So, you’ve been coming here long enough to know the drill by now — below is the clip to get your interest, but click on the link to be In The Know (as Fred Alan Wolf would say) . . .

“Perhaps the most surprising scientific evidence for the soul comes from quantum mechanics—specifically, from investigations of the subatomic phenomena that produce consciousness. Stuart Hameroff, an anesthesiologist who has spent many years studying brain functions, has collaborated with renowned Oxford University polymath Roger Penrose on a model that explains consciousness as the result of quantum processes occurring in tiny structures called microtubules in brain cells.”

    * = About Heisenberg Fridays. Each Friday I post about whatever I want outside of the realms of marketing, sales, advertising or copywriting. More often than not, it will be about one of my favorite studies –  the research into quantum mechanics and how consciousness influences reality.

So while most of the week you’ll be certain of the overall theme of my posts, each Friday you will experience uncertainty about the topic, which is my tip of the hat to Werner Heisenberg the creator of quantum mechanics’ Uncertainty Principle.
